Villamartin golf course was started in 1972 and forms part of the European tour. The Club de Golf Villamartin has a variety of holes and was designed by Paul Putman. The excellent design gives Golfers the chance to use all 14 clubs from the bag. The fast greens at Villamartin are always magnificently maintained.

The course is dotted with thick woods and bushes made up of pines, cypresses, olives, rosebays and many other varieties. The greens receive the ball well and, although not treacherous, need careful reading in order to score well. The 14th and 17th can be risky because of the natural ravine demanding the player to use all skill to successfully pass those hazards.
